Welcome to the updated Fortune's Light Guild. As always, I am
Allronix, your guide and fellow writer.
What is the Guild of Fortune's Light? Basically, the Guild is my nickname for filkers, writers, artisans, intellectuals, and tempest-tossed folk who have found a "home" among others of their kind. I've always been of two theories - One, that fiawol (fandom is a way of life), and that it isn't so much the source product itself that makes one a fan, but it's the way one reads a potential source product. I finished an essay describing the "Fannish Way of Reading" that describes the outlook I have on my community.
This website was built to serve as an archive for my stories in several different universes, to introduce other fans to some of the more obscure television shows and movies I enjoy, and as a good excuse for me to start learning more about computer programming. Think of this page as a "portal room" - with each link opening onto a new universe. The more universes I learn to play with, the more portals there will be.
I've been an "official" fan for nine years now (starting from the day I
attended my first convention, two days after Gene Roddenberry died), but the "reading" involved with fandom is something I've done from the day I
sat down with my sister to watch the Justice League cartoon. I've written
fanfic from the time I was nine years old, and never really stopped. I'm posting the fanfic I deem "fit to print" (many of the things I wrote before
age 14 have been lost, or are poor in quality).
In the name of the Guild, I'm presenting links to other universes I have traveled to in the name of Truth, Justice, and a damn good story.
